How bad do you want it? Only time will tell.

Interestingly enough, as I write this my employer has a campaign,”I want it all”. It’s a campaign about having a call to action, finding your edges and pushing the boundaries. Finding those edges can force the deepest emotion out of anyone. The highs and lows can keep us in the happiest of state one day and the deepest of pain the very next.

Ebbs and flows are part of the trainer game. And when things aren’t going great, we’ve still gotta be able to put on our game face, go out on”Stage” and provide the very best. When it’s that client’s hour, everything in my life is going totally great and it’s all about that client and his/her life.

In a field where 90% of people give up within 6 months getting their baseline certification, I can say I’ve literally had everything thrown at me. For most it would’ve been too much to stomach, including this week where I was hit with the ultimate doozy(that’s a story that’ll be released in my final chapter as a trainer).

Then there are the highs, helping people be their best self, being my own boss, freedom and the satisfaction of running my life. Do the highs outweigh the lows? Honestly not always. And that’s why in order to be a successful personal trainer you’ve not only want it, but want it like a man drowning for another gulp of air.

I want it like that.
